MADE IN FRANCE by Fatex 2007: HEADING FOR OPTIMISM!

It is with revived palpable optimism on the show and glowing companies providing customers with a wide range of technical know-how and services pertaining to fashion and the home that the 5th edition of the Made in France by Fatex show has come to an end. On 28 and 29 March, this session brought together 2059 professionals over 2 days in a mythical location: the Carrousel du Louvre.


Made in France by Fatex 2007 has confirmed its high-end and luxury position by welcoming even more visitors in these sectors:
•Indeed, once again there has been good growth in the high end and luxury sectors: 67% of the visitors compared to 55% in 2006 and 48% in 2005.
•Specialised chains, independent retailers, public markets and professional clothing make up the other 33%.


Made in France by Fatex 2007 welcomes foreign visitors:
55 foreign visitors - designers made the trip from Belgium, United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, USA, Japan..., fond of the "French Touch".

In all, 2059 professionals criss-crossed the show's aisles looking for French contractors, joint ventures and service providers able to meet their needs and requirements.

Made in France by Fatex 2007: testimony for an optimistic business outlook:
It is with a positive frame of mind that the exhibitors saw their customers, won back others and discovered new ones. Here are some of the eyewitness accounts:

•The Jean Ruiz company, has specialised in the close stitch – high-end range for 30 years. Its strengths: flexibility, responsiveness, adaptation.
"This is the first time we've participated in this show. We've had an excellent show with an average of 45 contacts, and we especially met with customers in the women's and children's sector. For us, this is very positive."

•For Mr. Rousseau, manager of the Confection Rousseau company, a loyal exhibitor for 3 sessions now:
"We have rubbed shoulders with 40 high-quality contacts, of which some are new customers. We are very happy with this edition."

M. Baudry from the Haspolo company, who came under the auspices of Ouest Mode Industrie, specialising in fur, outerwear, inspection and repairs:
"This was an excellent edition; customers have needs and are looking for contractors. We are interested in them and they are interested in us."

The Bontemps company, specialised in digital printing on decorative textiles and customised communication. It has an incorporated dry-filling workshop for home furnishings, clothing, lingerie, accessories for home decoration and bags. Mr. Bontemps, manager:
"this is our first and it has been very successful, the contacts that we have had are of good quality and there are about 50, and in particular there is a Japanese prospect."


Made in France by Fatex or French excellence
Mr. François Lesage, fashion's most famous parurier and the symbol of French excellence and know-how, inaugurated the show, providing his support to "high fashion" industrialists.


Made in France by Fatex supports performance
Focus on 3 exhibiting companies that are turned to the future and emblems of effective organisational systems: Albéa, Dentelles de Calais and Marty. Regarding their xperiences, professionals in the sector optimistically touched upon the current and future challenges for the profession and winning business models, based on the work of the R2ith.
